Kundalini Yoga At THe Farmhouse!

Saturdays:

11/8, 11/15, 12/6

9:00 -10:30 am @ The Farmhouse, Barnard

Join our practice in a charming, historic farmhouse, with classes that combine:

  • aerobic movement

  • slow stretches

  • seated meditation

Plus...

  • breath work

  • dance

  • deep connection

We will be pulling from Kundalini and hatha traditions as we revitalize our bodies, increase flexibility, and deepen our relationship with body and mind. You’ll also be building strength and improving your mood, as well as connecting with your fellow yogis. Because classes are small, you can get more personal attention than in other classes. (If you prefer to be ignored, I can do that, too.) These events will nourish both spiritual seekers and workout enthusiasts.

For those new to Kundalini yoga, this practice includes asana (physical postures) as well as mantra (sound), pranayama (breathwork), and mudra (hand positions) in a sequence called a kriya.  All levels—even beginners—will flourish during this mystical workout, which focuses on building stamina and connecting with your spirit more than on accomplishing advanced physical postures.

Cozy yoga by the woodstove!

This farmhouse dates from 1783, adding an historic perspective and charming atmosphere for our practice.

We will be practicing in the main room, heated by a wood stove. Located on Route 12 two miles south from the Barnard General Store, we are easy to find—look for the “Yoga Class today” sign. If you’re using GPS, be sure to start it before you get on the road.
